A Few Words About Us
It all started in 1974 when Canadian born Donna came to Cozumel on vacation and met her future husband Alvaro "Blondie" Mena. Alvaro, already a divemaster, introduced Donna to the underwater world of Cozumel. A new life began.
Alvaro continued to become an instructor and taught for many years until his love of boats diverted him to fishing as well as diving. Donna started her career in the diving industry working at one of Cozumel's first and most successful dive shops for over 30 years.
Their son Rene Antonio "Tony" inherited his parents love of the ocean and having been exposed to a life of watersports, fishing and diving, chose to continue a career in the diving & boating industry.
Thus Chili Charters was born. It may be a new name, but they have plenty years of experience in Cozumel and a whole new set of ideas in water activities for their guests to choose from!
